Ill Betta... will he survive?

i have a dark blue betta that seems to be dying b/c his color is starting to fade and fins are shredded.. he is also a lot less active then when i first purchased him and swimming very odd... idk what the cause is but i think it may be due to another fish i have which is constantly attacking the other fish (2 swordtails) in my aquarium... ive included a link to images of both the betta and ';bully'; fish (i have no idea what kind of fish the ';bully'; 1 is btw)

Just to clear up a few things; 1.) bettas can make excellent community fish if their tank mates are carefully chosen. 2.) Distilled water is not always the best choice for fish as it is generally RO water which lacks much of the buffering capacity of tap water. 3.) although bettas do slow down with age they can also be encumbered by currents in the water, often caused by filters. I am having difficulty identifying your mystery fish as fish are hard to photograph so I can not get a good view of him/her, but it really does not look like a sword tail. I would almost say it more resembles a small feeder goldfish, but again these are aggressive so either way you need to change a few things. Firstly to cut down on the aggression add a lot more plants and hiding places so that there are two distinct well planted areas in the tank. Secondly, do you have a heater? Cold water can lead to a loss of color in bettas and also fin rot which is what I would say is responsible for your bettas loss of finnage. I would recommend a product called Melafix and one called Primafix. I use a cap full (5 ml) of each daily for 1-2 weeks and I find they can treat most problems your betta will encounter. As well you can likely add 1-2 Tbsp of aquarium salt (do not use table salt or marine salt) per 10 gallons of water to help increase the effectiveness of the medication. Some fish do not tolerate salt well, but those are generally tetras and corries and over the short term even they would likely be alright with that dosage. Try to get your ';bully fish'; identified (maybe take him in to a reputable fish store) so that you can better accommodate him/her. Good luck.Ill Betta... will he survive?
YOU ASKED AND ANSWERED YOUR OWN QUESTION CONGRATS!!
You shouldn't save your betta in with other fish, anyways! Bettas don't do well in a communal aquarium
Betta's are very slow swimmers especially as they get older and their fins get longer. It's probably being chase by the other fish (not sure what your bully fish is but swords are fast and like to chase other fish). Best choice is get another tank for the betta and remove him.

That picture of the bully looks like a Rosey Minnow to me, i'm almost sure of that. Also I think you need to take the betta out if he is being harrased. Usually Bettas get along perfect in communtity tanks aslong as their aren't any nippy fish and the tank is not to overcrowded. It looks like your betta has a case of BAD fin rot and its spreading. You need to take him out ASAP and treat him with Maracyn-2.
Well, I woud sepparate the violent fish from the others. And then I'd check the food and water. My sister's goldfish was constipated--yes, constipated--because we fed him too much. And you have to use distilled water for Betta fish (I had four or five of them years ago). And you also might want to check the water temperature; water that's too cold or too hot can kill fish.
I think he is just gonna slow down alot. i had a fish like that and he died.
