Since time immemorial dogs were fed on the family leftovers and what they could scavenge; proper dog food is a relatively recent phenomenon and I don't think it's a coincidence that by and large dogs these days are much less healthy than those even just 30 years ago. What exactly are these ';table scraps'; ? Dogs should be eating dog food, to make sure they get all their required nutrients. Sure, I let my dog indulge on the occasional bit of toast, or bit of chicken sometimes, but a dog's main source of food should be dog food. Table scraps are not going to be digested properly, also dogs can gain weight very easily and rapid, I do not recommend you feed your dog table scraps.

Steak bones, and roast bones are healthy for them. They can still splinter, but it's alot harder for them to, and it can keep your dogs teeth healthy, and sometimes keeps the bad breath at bay.

I don't feed my dogs table scraps because dogs tummies handle food differently than ours and don't digest some things the same. There can be too much of a good thing...I know it's not good to give dogs a lot of deli meat as it can be bad for the liver. I know it's hard to say no when they are begging, but I think it's best to think of what is best for your dog. Good luck! ;)

People like you should not be allowed to have animals or children.
HOWEVER - there's a small chance that it's okay IF you are feeding it only meat, with no bones or seasonings and grains that have no yeast in them, small portions of certain fruits and vegetables... these are the only things that would be remotely healthy for your dog...

YES. It will barf more than you will ever see or have in your entire life. Believe me, I know. I gave my dog just 2 scraps, and it almost had to go to the dog hospital. If you are trying to save money instead of buying the regular dog food, just try and save your coupons!!! Good luck!

table food is not good for your dog. he may not get ill, but he will not live as long. it will affect his skin and coat as well, and will do a number on his stomach.
although i have groomed a number of dogs who have lived their lives eating whatever there people eat, they are all overweight and have crappy skin and coat.
so it wont kill your dog, but i suggest you stick with a good high quality dog food
The best balanced diet for the Dog is from the pet store. The dog will survive on the human food for a while, but may well get fat and sick in time. Get the Dog some dry dog food.
